This video highlights Teaching Climate Change, an intensive January Term course taught by Dr. Tina Grotzer, Faculty Director of the Next Level Lab. Climate change is an existential threat to life on Earth. The responsibility for creating atmospheric CO2 over recent decades is not shared across the world’s populations or successive generations and yet it has wrought environmental injustices that impact the most vulnerable populations and create intractable challenges that young people and future generations will face. How we teach about climate change is critical to our response as a global population. Dr. Grotzer spoke further about her course in this interview with HGSE’s Ed. Magazine.
