Nida Ahmed (she/her/hers) is pursuing an Ed.M. in Learning Design, Innovation, and Technology at HGSE. She has a background in project evaluation, having supported the research team at UC Berkeley’s School of Social Welfare in assessing the impact of learning initiatives across California as part of the CalHOPE Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Community of Practice. Prior to HGSE, she worked in product management within the educational publishing sector. Her research interests center on the role of SEL in young adults, specifically exploring the challenges that aspiring first-generation professionals face due to limited cultural capital and investigating how adaptive learning interventions can bridge these gaps to promote more equitable career development.
Nida holds a B.A. in Psychology and Public Policy from UC Berkeley. In her free time, she enjoys theatre, exploring cafes and museums, and reading fiction.
