Developing Shared Understanding: How to Improve the Way We Interview Multi-Cultural Candidates

As organizations seek to recruit and retain diverse talent, awareness of culture, identity, and positionality and of the interactions between these factors during an interview become increasingly more critical. Following a brief presentation on situated culture and situated cognition, we will invite participants to analyze two interview scenarios with multi-cultural candidates and offer suggestions on how these interviews could be improved.
