Certificate in Workplace Learning Applications Now Open

Drawing on years of research in cognitive science, neuroscience, and learning design, our team at the Next Level Lab has developed a new professional certificate course to run in the 2026 Spring Semester – Six Evidence-Based Shifts for the Future of Workplace Learning: Designing for Better Learning and Work Performance.

Participants will explore how to move:

  • From engagement to agentive learning — giving learners ownership over their learning
  • From isolated environments to learning embedded in work — without adding friction
  • From specific skills to flexible expertise — that transfers across contexts and challenges
  • From more content to better habits — cultivating durable, metacognitive practices
  • From purely cognitive learning to whole-human learning — integrating motivation, emotion, and identity
  • From culture as backdrop to culture as compass — designing with local norms and contexts in mind

Each shift acts as a design provocation, helping you translate research into practice through frameworks and prototypes that can be immediately applied in your own organization.

If you are being asked to help people learn faster, adapt better, and perform with confidence amid ambiguity, then this certificate is for you.

We invite you to shape a new standard for work-related learning — one that is evidence-based, future-focused, and embedded in how work actually happens.

Apply here by November 30.
